Iris 540 ovdje pokazuje zube i izvlači vrlo dobra rezultat u 3DMarku koji ne zaostaje puno iza GT 840M rješenja od Nvidie. No, igranje bilo koje igre u vrlo visokoj rezoluciji koju Surfaceov ekran ima bi se moglo pokazati malo problematično.

I u 7-Zipu je rezultat 6650U procesora odličan u odnosu na starije dvojezgrene modele. Naravno, prava bi usporedba bila direktno protiv i7 5650U modela no nešto malo viši Turbo takt i IPC povećanje koje Skylake donosi bi rezultirale s otprilike desetak posto prednosti.

I dok su i performanse čitanja sasvim solidne, performanse zapisa i kopiranja su izvrsne. Kombinacija brzog DDR3L RAM-a u dvokanalnom režimu rada i Skylake artitekture donosi odličnu propusnost.

Kao što smo već tijekom testa napomenuli, autonomija će u “normalnom” uredskom radu s malo multimedije i surfanja internetom iznositi 5 – 6 sati što je sasvim solidan rezultat. Ukoliko pak pokrenemo 4K video u 60 fps-a kakav smo mi pokrenuli autonomija pada na dvadeset i dvije minute preko tri sata što je i dalje solidna vrijednost. Procesor se ovdje ipak ne “znoji” znatnije nego kod reprodukcije 1080p videa, pa je i na takvoj upotrebi očekivana autonomija vrlo slična.
